SRINAGAR: Pakistani forces intensified shelling in Kargil and Batalik sectors targeting civilian areas and forcing people who had returned home to again move to safer places. No loss of life was reported but public and private property was destroyed in the heavy shelling which began last night, an official spokesman told PTI today.

A number of shells hit Sanjaj village in Batalik and Goma, Kargil Brow and Pashkuim villages in Kargil forcing people, who recently returned to their homes in the war ravaged areas, to again flee to safer places.
