Jammu: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee would soon visit Chithisinghpora village in south Kashmir where 35 Sikhs were massacred by Pakistan-backed militants on March 20 night, according to Akali Dal (Babbar) president Gurcharan Singh Babbar. Vajpayee conveyed his decision to a delegation of ''joint action committeee of Delhi Sikhs against massacre in Jammu and Kashmir'' which met him today and urged him to visit the site, Babbar said in a statement here. The delegation also demanded among other things a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to each victim and licensed arms to villagers to prevent their migration from the Valley, he said. In a memorandum submitted to the Prime Minister, they also demanded a ''white paper'' on the massacre as they wondered whether Pakistan would resort to such suicidal steps which would antagonise Sikhs, whom they were preparing for use in emergency to create internal dissensions and disturbances. Earlier, several Sikh organisations in the capital took out a procession protesting against the massacre. (PTI)
