New Delhi: In an effort to build a consensus on the raging autonomy issue and evolve a coordinated approach to the coming Parliament session, Prime Minister Vajpayee has convened a meeting of the NDA constituents. The meeting on Sunday is likely to work out a common response to issues the government expects to come up in Parliament. It is not yet known if Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah who has attended the NDA coordination committee meetings in the past, will be there. The government, it seems, is gearing up for flak on the issue of recent attacks on Christians at different places. Another issue that promises to dominate the month-long session is the government''s disinvestment policy. What caused the BJP leadership acute embarrassment during the budget session was the tendency of some MPs of the constituent parties to lend voices to the Opposition chorus both inside and outside the House on issues like rise in PDS prices.
