Indian Stand On Third Party Role Unchanged

New Delhi: India today reiterated that it saw no role for third party mediation in Kashmir and asserted that its position in the matter remained unchanged. Commenting on reports of Pakistan''s Chief Executive, Gen. Pervez Musharraf''s invitation to the U.N. Secretary-General, Mr. Kofi Annan, for mediating in Kashmir, an External Affairs Ministry spokesperson said here that India''s position was very clear. It saw no role for third party mediation. On reports about U.S. plan to declare Pakistan a terrorist State, he said, ''we have seen the reports. We have been pointing out for a long time the complicity of Pakistani agencies in supporting cross-border terrorism.''
