3 troops die in second J&K suicide attack

Srinagar: Militants stormed an Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir for the second time in two days and killed three soldiers and critically wounded five others. Two militants threw grenades and fired bullets on the camp of 17 Rashtriya Rifles in Sidi Khwaja post in Haveli in Poonch, frontier district, 240 km north of Jammu, the state’s winter capital. The attack was carried out in the early hours of Monday morning. The militants killed three soldiers and left five others wounded. This attack has come within 24 hours of the suicide attack on the 8 Jammu Kashmir Light Infantry headquarters in Baramulla, northern Kashmir district, about 60 km from here. The Lakshar-e-Tayyaba claimed responsibility for the attack on Sunday morning. Four securitymen and two militants were killed in the fidayeen attack on the Army camp.
