Jammu: Indian Army troops Sunday foiled an intrusion bid by Pakistan-trained militants in Noushera sector of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir, an Indian defence spokesman said. The spokesman said troops sighted a group of five to six heavily armed militants near the line of control in Noushera sector at around 1000 hrs IST (0430 GMT) and challenged them. However, the ultras opened fire from their automatic weapons and as the troops retaliated, fled away into Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK). They were seen dragging two of their injured associates towards POK side, the spokesman said adding during search an AK assault rifle and a rucksack containing four RPG rockets, one UBGL and two hand grenades were recovered from the area.
