13 wounded in explosions in Kashmir

Srinagar: Thirteen people including eight Indian soldiers were wounded on Monday in a string of explosions in Jammu and Kashmir, police said. They said an Indian paramilitary official and four soldiers were wounded on Monday morning when their vehicle ran over a landmine near Bandipura area of Baramulla district. Earlier in the day, five civilians were wounded in an explosion near a bus stand in Doda district, 350 km (217 miles) southwest of Srinagar, police said. Three Indian soldiers were wounded and their vehicle damaged in another landmine explosion in the same district, police said. Another Army vehicle was damaged when suspected separatist militants detonated a landmine in Anantnag district in South Kashmir, police said. No militant group has claimed responsibility for the explosions so far.
