Hardcore Lashkar militant killed in Kashmir

Jammu: A hardcore militant of Pakistan based Lashkar-e-Toiba outfit was killed in an encounter on Sunday in Surankote tehsil. Five houses of locals were also set ablaze by militants in Poonch district of Jammu division. The militant, identified as Abu Jabran, was shot dead by security forces at Faislabad village in Surankote tehsil. An AK-47 rifle with some ammunition, four grenades and one wireless set were recovered from the slain militant. Meanwhile, some unidentified militants set ablaze five houses while the encounter was on. A search operation has been launched to track down the militants, sources said.
