2 Armymen, 2 LeT militants killed in Kashmir

Srinagar: At least two army personnel, and two Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) militants were killed in a fierce nightlong clash at Shonad forests in the Kupwara district. An official spokesman said militants, hiding in the woods of Shonad in North Kashmir, fired upon a security force patrol with automatic weapons and hurled grenades late on Friday night. Two hardcore militants Abu Qasim and Abu Haider were killed in the retaliatory action by the security forces. He said two army personnel also laid down their lives and another jawan was injured. Two AK rifles, nine magazines, 150 rounds and two grenades were also recovered from the slain militants.
