US to help India check Kashmir separatists: Report

Lahore: The US will help India surf out Kashmiri terrorist hideouts and monitor their activities in Jammu and Kashmir, Online news agency has learnt. According to highly placed diplomatic sources, US Assistant Secretary of State for South Asia Christina Rocca gave this assurance to Indian officials before coming to Pakistan. She was briefed by Indian home ministry officials about the situation in Kashmir and the activities of Mujahideen groups, Online said. ''Rocca assured them that the U.S. will provide sophisticated and modern equipment to India in the next two months to keep an eye over the activities of Mujahideen and monitor the borders with Pakistan and China,'' a source said.
