Pak can not snatch an inch of J&K: Hussain

RAJOURI: The Minister of State for Revenue Ch Mohammed Hussain today warned Pakistan that it can not snatch even an inch of territory of J&K if it continues the proxy war for years together. The Minister who was addressing the mammoth public meetings at Kotranka and Budhal during his tour of Assembly Constituency of Darhal said Kashmir is an integral Part of India and the decision once taken can not be reversed. Earlier he was given warm reception t both these places. He said Pakistan is day dreaming to annex the Kashmir by its vicious designs and treachery methods while asking her to keep its hands off from Kashmir. The MoS for Revenue said no doubt the people have suffered a lot due to the 12 year long turmoil and development of the state was retarded to a great extent but soon after the popular Government headed by Dr Farooq Abdullah assumed office in 1996 it gave kept the development of the state on top of its agenda. He said though we could not achieve the targets as many impediments came in the way due to the militancy, yet we are determined in our efforts. He said the new development schemes and projects will be taken up in hand to put the state in general and the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch on the path of progress once again. He said the foreign mercenaries who are still present in the area have added to the worries of the masses who want to lead a peaceful life. Making a dig at Congress and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) he alleged that the leaders are misleading the people. The Congress has no base in Kashmir Valley, he added. He said both these parties believe in caste politics and try to divide the people on the caste basis while NC is the party of masses which has a long history of struggle. The Party believes in the secular values and principles and uniform progress of all people. He also ridiculed at PDP leaders for day-dreaming that Mufti Mohammed Syed will become the Chief Minister of the State. He while asking the people to be united for facing the challenge of the enemy said the people should not be afraid against the promulgation of Disturbed Areas Act as the NC Government is a watch dog for peoples liberties and it will not allow that any innocent person should be harmed. He while hailing the role of Army and security forces said they have taken up number of development projects in the twin border districts in hand for the welfare of the people. He asked the people to cooperate with security forces and urged the security forces to maintain a good liaison with the masses so that the peace is restored and innocent people are not harmed. He however, warned that if there is no cooperation between the security forces and people it is harmful for the nation as a whole. He assured the people at Kotranka that the Kwas and Patri will be given the status of Niabat soon besides the building for High School Kotranka will be constructed immediately. He also assured that Budal will be given the status of Block and Higher Secondary School building will also be constructed there. Addressing the gathering Ch Zaffar said the accord with India is final and there can be no alteration to it. He however, urged the Central Government to help the state in overcoming the financial problems.
