3 Jaish-e-Mouhammad militants killed in Kashmir

Srinagar: Three militants belonging to Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad outfit have been killed in an encounter with security forces in Baramulla district of Kashmir, official sources said on Thursday.The militants, believed to be foreign mercenaries, were killed last evening in Bandipora area after several hours of gunfight with joint search parties of army and Special Operations Group of local police. The militants were hiding in a Nallah when they were confronted by the troops, the sources said, adding efforts are on to recover the bodies of the slain ultras from the Nallah. Meanwhile, body of an unidentified person was recovered by police from watergam area of Baramulla today. The identity and the cause of the death of the individual is being ascertained, the sources said.
