Srinagar: Over 25 people were injured in clashes between police and demonstrators protesting against the US-led strikes in Afghanistan even as a partial strike disrupted normal life in the Kashmir Valley on Friday. The massive demonstration was held in Jamia Masjid area of downtown Srinagar immediately after Friday prayers with over 200 protestors taking to streets and engaging police in violent clashes, official sources said. Prior to the clash, a masked youth claiming to be an activist of pro-Pakistan Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen outfit vowed to continue the protests as long as the air strikes on Afghanistan continues. ''Afghans are our brothers and we will fight shoulder-to- shoulder with Taliban against America,'' the masked youth who did not identify himself told reporters outside the historic mosque.
