J-K ultras Hawala source busted

Srinagar: J-K police today said it had busted a hawala racket channelling money to militants in Kashmir. Rs 40 lakh has been seized in cash along with a satellite phone. IGP, Kashmir, K. Rajendra said police last night raided places in Srinagar and Baramulla and arrested at least 10 persons channelling money from Pakistan through hawala transactions to finance the Hizbul Mujahideen, Lashkar-e-Toiba, Jaish- e-Mohammad, Al-Badr and Al-Umar. Last night, as a police stopped a taxi for routine checks the driver abandoned the vehicle. Rajendra said the other man in the taxi, identified as top Hizbul Mujahideen militant Rashid Lone, was arrested.
