Srinagar: In a bid to cleanse the administration, the Jammu and Kashmir government has set up a three-member committee to recommend premature retirement of tainted officers, official sources said on Sunday. Headed by Mr S.D. Singh, the financial commissioner, home, the committee will look into service records of officials of various government departments and recommend premature retirement and action under the law against those involved in corrupt practices, they said. The decision has been taken to rid the administration of officers responsible for swindling public funds and thus creating a wedge between the administration and the people, they said.
