Washington DC: Citing the killing of 24 Kashmiri pandits in Jammu and Kashmir, the US has warned that the continued terrorism in the state could provoke yet another crisis between India and Pakistan in the 'coming months' after last year's stand-off that pushed the two countries to the brink of a war. 'We helped to successfully walk India and Pakistan back from the brink of war last year. However, continued terrorism, like the Monday morning's attack (in Kashmir), threatens to provoke yet another crisis in the coming months,' said US assistant secretary of state for South Asia Christina Rocca. Speaking before the senate foreign relations committee, she said, 'We look to Pakistan to do everything in its power to prevent extremist groups operating from its soil from crossing the Line of Control.'
