Biharis' blood for Kashmiri patients!

SRINAGAR: Even as Hindutva forces have been trying to divide the people on communal lines, humanity continues to live in the hearts of the majority of people. Rajesh Kumar and Naveen Kumar from Bihar, Rajesh Kumar from Jammu, Ravinder Singh and Mrs Kunzes Dolma, proved the divisive forces wrong as they volunteered to donate blood for the patients of SMHS hospital here at a blood donation camp organised jointly by the faculty of veterinary sciences and AH, SKUAST (K), Regional Red Cross Society, Srinagar and the blood bank of SMHS hospital recently under the NSS programme, Greater Kashmir reported. According to Dr Abdul Hai, the NSS programme offricer of FVSc&AH a total of 33 persons, most of them students of the veterinary college, including Dr Azmat Alam Khan, assistant professor, and Abdul Qayoom Malik, employee, donated blood. Prof Syed Sajjad Husain, dean of the faculty, thanked the donors, the Red Cross Society, the principal, GMC, Srinagar, blood bank staff and the organisers of the camp.
