Qazi Informs Kasuri About MMA's Reservations On Kashmir

Lahore: Foreign Minister Khursheed Mehmood Qasuri called on ailing Amir Jamaat-e-Islami and Vice President Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal Qazi Hussain Ahmed and discussed with him matters of national interest including Kashmir . The meeting held here at the Doctors Hospital and lasted for some time. They discussed current political situation of the country and various important issues including Pakistan's long- standing stand on Kashmir . Sources told Online that Qazi Hussain Ahmed informed the foreign minister about the reservations of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal and Jamaat-e-Islami on Kashmir issue and made it clear that only such a resolution of the issue could be acceptable which was according to the wishes of Kashmiri people . He said that the MMA was not against resumption of dialogue with India but it is imperative for talks that both sides accept Kashmir as a dispute. He urged the government not to change its long-standing stance on Kashmir . At this occasion, foreign minister Khursheed Mehmood Kasuri agreed with Qazi Hussain Ahmed that only such a resolution of Kashmir could be durable which reflected the wishes of Kashmiris . The foreign minister also inquired about the health of JI Amir and prayed for his good health .
