Islamabad: Three militant groups fighting Indian occupation of Kashmir have merged into a new organisation threatening to step up attacks, a spokesman for the group said on Wednesday. The new organisation called Kashmir Freedom Force plans to launch 'coordinated attacks on Indian forces to oust them from Kashmir,' group spokesman Meraj Din told The Associated Press by cellular phone from an undisclosed location. Meraj said the new organisation comprises the Islamic Front, the Al-Barq and the Tehrik ul-Jihad. They claim to have hundreds of armed men operating in held Kashmir. 'There was a realisation among the groups that we should be united. Now we are in a better position to attack the Indian forces and force them to leave Kashmir,' he said.
