Islamabad: Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf does not have control over all the terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir and cannot be blamed for their activities, Mr Ram Jethmalani told the News in an interview. India should keep this in mind while dealing with Pakistan on the issue of cross-border terrorism in Kashmir, Mr Jethmalani said. Mr Jethmalani is here as part of a delegation of Indian parliamentarians who will hold consultations with their Pakistani counterparts on ways of restoring normalcy in the subcontinent. 'I think Gen. Musharraf should not be blamed for whatever infiltration is taking place at the moment as even he doesn't have control over a number of militants operating in our part of Kashmir. This is something I have told to related persons in the Indian government,' he said. At the same time, he appreciated the initiatives taken by the Pakistani government for creating an environment for resuming the dialogue between the two countries. He felt the confidence- building process should be taken forward keeping this reality in mind. As for Pakistani, it should keep its present resolve intact and continue pursuing the issue with sincerity, he maintained.
