Jatlal: Former Prime Minister Azad Kashmir and opposition leader Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry said Mangla Dam's expansion would not be allowed at any cost . During a telephonic conversation with Chairman Union Council Jatlal Chaudhry Mehmood Akhtar on Saturday, Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry said the Sikandar government wants to drown millions of residents in Mirpur . 'It seems that in the next decade Jatlal, Khari Sharif and Bhambar would also be given up for Mangla Dam,' he said . Sultan Mehmood said the expansion of Mangla Dam is a black chapter in the history of the Sikandar government as this was based on an agreement between three non-Kashmiri representatives, which is highly regrettable . Terming the step as a conspiracy to drown residents of Mirpur, he warned that the consequences of Mangla Dam's expansion would be devastating. He said that the Sikandar government has only issued press statements whereas the construction and development work by the People's government in open for all to see .
