Mufti arrives in London

Jammu: Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed arrived here today to participate in London World Tourism Mart. The Chief Minister is heading a 7- member Jammu and Kashmir delegation to the Mart which includes Minister for Tourism Ghulam Hassan Mir. Mufti Sayeed was received at the Heathrow airport by Minister Economic, Indian High Commission, C. Phunsog. Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Bhavnaben Chikhalia will inaugurate the Indian pavilion at the Mart tomorrow. Mufti Sayeed will also be present on the occasion. The focus of Jammu and Kashmir at the London Mart would be Vaishnodevi pilgrimage so that more and more pilgrim tourists are attracted from Europe to the holy cave shrine situated in the Trikuta hills in Jammu region. Other highlights at the Mart would be the world famous popular tourist destinations of Gulmarg and Pahalgam as these are being promoted as global resorts in a big way. The facilities at these picturesque spots are being expanded and upgraded to make these of international standards.
