SRINAGAR: Hurriyat Conference chairman Maulana Mohammad Abbas Ansari today accused the rival faction led by Syed Ali Shah Geelani of trying to create confusion in the minds of the people by 'misrepresenting' the facts about the talks between the Centre and the separatist amalgam. 'Attempts are being made to present the dialogue process in wrong colour so as to create misgivings among the people,' he said addressing a public meeting at Mirgund-Pattan in Baramulla district. The breakaway Hurriyat had yesterday said any talks with New Delhi without involving the UN or a friendly country was against the constitution of the separatist amalgam. Ansari said Hurriyat’s stand was clear that the dialogue process was the key to find an everlasting solution to the Kashmir issue. 'For resolution of any issue, meaningful dialogue is the natural way.' 'Those levelling baseless allegations without taking into account ground realities should keep in mind that our nation has rendered numerous sacrifices for right of self determination. Nobody has the courage to sell these sacrifices and no one would be allowed to do so,' he said. Talk of unity was very easy but those responsible for division of the Hurriyat Conference have strengthened the hands of enemies of unity thus harming the ongoing movement, Ansari said. 'However, our doors are open for all those who are in favour of unity on the basis of principles to take forward the ongoing freedom movement.' (PTI)
