Hurriyat To Raise Rights Violations During Talks

Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference on Monday said it will 'seriously raise' the issue of alleged human rights violations by troops in Jammu and Kashmir and the release of political prisoners during the second round of talks with Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani on March 27. 'Hurriyat Conference will seriously raise the issue of human rights violation by Army and paramilitary troops in J&K and the release of political prisoners,' Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umer Farooq said. Mirwaiz is part of the four-member Hurriyat team, led by chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, which will leave for New Delhi on Monday.
