Baramullla: The People of Kashmir would trample the bloody line which has divided the people since the last 50 years.' This plus the overall socio economic development of the entire region will be the positive fallouts when the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road is finally opened. Senior PDP leader and minister for finance and planning Muzzafar Hussain Baig while addressing party workers said that the opening of the road would be the perfect gift for the people of the region from Prime Minister Vajpayee and the Pakistan president Pervez Musharaff. He said Uri and Baramulla could become gateways into the Kashmir valley. Kashmiri traders will not only be able to reach Pakistan but also the central Asian republics, he added. Hailing the steps initiated by India and Pakistan towards restoring normalcy Baig said the same should be extended to the people of the state as well. He pleaded for 'an honourable solution to the Kashmir issue.' He appealed to the people to put aside the political leanings and take part in the rally scheduled for April 8 at the border town of Uri to press for the opening of the Srinagar -Muzzafarabad road.
