Militants kill four including a couple in Kashmir

Srinagar: Militants shot dead four persons including a couple and a numberdar (revenue employee) in Kashmir valley since Friday night. Militants barged into the house of an irrigation department employee Abdul Rashid Bhat on Friday night at Ajas-Bazipora in Bramulla district and shot him dead on the spot. As Bhat's wife, Saleema, made a desperate bid to save her husband, the ultras turned the guns at her, killing her as well, the sources said. The motive behind the killing was not known immediately. They said militants also shot dead the Numberdar of the village, Sonaullah Ganai. Police has taken cognizance and is investigating the matter.
