Srinagar: Hizbul Mujahideen has strongly denied the report in a section of New Delhi media that its activist had killed Molvi Mushtaq, the uncle of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. In a statement to a local news agency CNS, its spokesman described the report as baseless and misleading. The media report had claimed that a militant Javid Ahmad Hakim belonging to Hizb had killed Molvi. The spokesman said Javid did not belong to his organisation. He stated that Hizb has already stated that Molvi was killed by Indian agencies as he was very active in forging unity among the separatist leadership.
