Islamabad: Stung by Army Chief General NC Vij's assertions that there was no let- up in Pakistan's bid to push terrorists into Jammu and Kashmir, Islamabad has said that he is 'chasing mirages' with his 'misleading' charges of continued cross-border infiltration along the LoC. Reacting to Vij's assertions during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday that there was no let-up in Pakistan's bid to push terrorists, Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesman, Masood Khan said, 'The Indian Army Chief is chasing mirages. He sees danger where there's none. There are no 'launching pads' or 'winged infiltrators' on this side of the LoC'. 'We do not know what his motivation is, but he should not mislead people and create scare with such fictitious pictures. This amounts to tilting at rumour mills,' Khan said in a statement in Islamabad. Khan alleged that the Indian charges were aimed at diverting from 'human rights violations' in Jammu and Kashmir, which is a 'real' issue.
