Islamabad: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz says Pakistan won't resolve the Kashmir issue with India without consulting the Pakistani people, a news report said on Wednesday. 'The nation (of Pakistan) and people of Kashmir will be taken into confidence on whatever decision may be taken about Kashmir,' Aziz told The Jang, the country's largest circulated Urdu-language newspaper. Aziz said that he would travel to India next month to discuss Kashmir issue Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. His comments come after President Pervez Musharraf said that Pakistan and India must consider changing their positions to settle the issue. In his remarks on Monday, Musharraf said that Pakistan and India should consider making some areas of Kashmir independent, placing them under joint Indian-Pakistani control, or putting them under the UN. However, Musharraf conditioned his comments on demilitarisation of the region.
