Several Hurriyat(G) Leaders Arrested

Srinagar: About a dozen activists of Hurriyat Conference (G) were arrested today when they were going to Charar-e-Sharief for anti election campaign. Reports said that a group of Hurriyat activists were going to Charar-e-Sharief where they were planning to conduct an anti- election rally. But the group was not allowed to proceed any further by the police personnel when they reached Rader village. The activists of Hurriyat resented this move and raised slogans. The police while trying to subdue the activists, arrested about a dozen leaders including Sheikh Abdul Aziz and Nayeem Ahmad Khan.
