Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) today ridiculed the preparations for celebrating the opening of Srinagar Muzaffarabad road. A Hurriyat spokesman said while these preparations are at its peak there is no end to human rights violations by forces. 'If it is time to celebrate for the coalition government here, can they explain why the tale of horror is reigning supreme in Shopian, Kanga, Bandipore and Handwara', he said. He said people want to know that if there is really and headway for resolving Kashmir issue, why is there no end to sufferings of people here. 'People want to know that is there any hope for releasing the detenues. The martyr's want to know that have their sacrifices been answered and has the goal been achieved for which they gave their lives', he said. Indirectly criticising the opening of Muzaffarabad road, he said, people have not offered their sacrifices for it.
