Jammu: In an audacious move cocking a snook at the authorities, terrorists have put up posters in a government school in Jammu region announcing cash rewards to people providing information about security force personnel and their informers, official sources said on Sunday. Posters purportedly signed by a self-appointed area commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Mohd Ayoob, who was a Special Police Officer (SPO) till recently, were found pasted on the walls of the Higher secondary school at Kandi in Rajouri district on Saturday night, they said. Ayoob is wanted in connection with the killing of three SPOs, looting of their service weapons and killings of about ten persons in the Rajouri-Udhampur belt, they said, adding that the posters have since been removed. In the posters, the outfit declared a Rs one lakh award to the person who helps in the killing of an informer and Rs 2 lakh on the head of a security person and his rifle, while Rs 50,000 would be given to those giving information on informers to security forces. The posters said the forces, by declaring cash rewards for nabbing terrorists, wanted to divide the Muslims and those 'falling into their trap would face death of their entire family.'
