World agency office bombed in Chilas

Gilgit: A locally made bomb damaged headquarters of the International Fund for Agriculture Development in Chilas on Thursday night. No loss of lives was reported. Police officials said the bomb hit the headquarters at 100 am that rip apart the conference hall and two other rooms, while the rest of the building was slightly damaged. Four personnel of Frontier Constabulary and the police each were on duty at the office. Unidentified attackers hurled the bomb from a nearby dark street. The police have arrested two suspects. Three NADRA centres in NA The National Database and Registration Authority will open its three new services centres in the Northern Areas, said Kamal Aziz, the authority's director general, on Thursday.He said the new centres would start working in Khakuch, Ghizer and Ghanch within a week. He two more centres would also be set up in Randu Baltistan and Aliabad this year another centre would be opened in Tolti Baltistan next year. He said 53 percent people of the Northern Areas had obtained computerized cards so far. He said the authority had introduced a system in Karachi that allowed people to deposit their utility bills at the centres and the same system would be put in place in the Northern Areas.
