New Delhi: The vision of an independent Kashmir is simply a mental luxury, said Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan, former Azad Kashmir prime minister and president. In an interview to The Rediff on Wednesday, Khan ruled out the possibility of two Kashmirs becoming one independent unit. Qayyum is in New Delhi to participate in 'Heart-to-heart talks' on Kashmir, organised by Indian Council of World Affairs President Harcharan Singh Josh and Bhim Singh of the Panther's Party. The talks are being held between Kashmiris on either side of the Line of Control that divides Kashmir between India and Pakistan. The meeting was first scheduled to be held in Jammu, but Khan refused to travel to Jammu on an Indian visa, saying it amounted to accepting Jammu and Kashmir as a part of India.
