Five Militant Hideouts Busted In J&K

Jammu: Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have busted five militant hidoeuts in Udhampur, Rajouri and Poonch and recovered large caches of arms, ammunition and explosive since last night, official sources said here today. Troops busted a hideout in Shatroo-Gambir area of Manjakote belt in rajouri district last night and recovered one AK rifle, one pistol, one magazine, two gas cyclinders, two monkey caps, one blanket, personal belongings, and nine small diaries and 18 cassettes among other thins, they said. Another hideout busted in Khetri area of Rajouri district last night led to the recovery of 10 pika rounds, one ak rifle, ten RPG rounds, they said. Troops also recovered one ak rifle, two magazines, 119 rounds, 10 UBGLs, 3 UBGL grenades and one antenna along with wireless set early today from Chati top in Basantgarh area of Udhampur district, they said. Another hideout was busted in Hari Bhuda area of Poonch early today and 2 grenades, 30 ak rounds, two diaries, two binoculars, four cordex sheets, 70 pencil cells, 2 detonator fuses recovered, they said. Troops also busted a hideout in Daroni Gala area in Rajouri district early today and recovered one ak rifle, one magazine, 58 rounds and one wireless set, they said, adding that no arrests had been carried out during these operations.
