J-K Govt Disburses Aid To Militancy Victims In Ganderbal

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government today distributed Rs 8.5 lakh among 195 persons of Ganderbal tehsil in the district under a scheme to rehabilitate victims of militancy. Distributing cheques to the victims, state Minister for Public Health Qazi Mohammad Afzal said that the Social Welfare Department is providing old age pensions through banks to 5,300 persons of the tehsil. Numerous development works are also being conducted by the state government, he said. Pointing out that various welfare measures were in place in Jammu and Kashmir, Qazi said the state government is leaving no stone unturned in mitigating the problems of the quake-affected people.
