Call for free movement across LoC

Muzaffarabad: Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sikander Hayat Khan has called upon India and Pakistan to allow free movement of Kashmiris across the LoC to facilitate meetings of relatives. He was talking to a delegation from Belgium, which called on him here in Muzaffarabad on Sunday. It was led by the country’s senior parliamentarian, Ms Dental Karin. Dam Jamhol of the Socialist Party, Barnardad of Green Party, Andri Depos of Christian Democratic Party and persons related to the media were included. The delegation visited Muzaffarabad CMH. The AJK prime minister said five points on the LoC should be opened very early. However, he said, recent steps taken by India and Pakistan could bring much relief to the quake victims. About rehabilitation process in the AJK, he pointed out that the government had intended to set up eight more tent villages in which some 40,000 quake victims would be accommodated. “The government will provide gas cylinders, kerosene oil and stoves to the victims.”
