Srinagar: While senior Hurriyat leader and former party Chairman Professor Abdul Gani Bhat was in Pakistan having parleys with Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) politicians and major militant groups to get them on board the ongoing peace process, his close aide and deputy chief organiser of Muslim Conference Manzoor Ahmad mysteriously went to PoK and was taken into Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) custody.According to sources, Manzoor, who had crossed the Line of Control around four times in the last two years, stayed at Bhat's residence in Srinagar. Abdur Rehman Bhat, Vice-president of Muslim Conference, told The Indian Express on Friday that Manzoor had left for home around one month ago saying that he had to settle a land dispute. 'But we came to know that he went to Azad Kashmir. We have no knowledge of the circumstances that may have forced him to do so. Anyway, he has been removed from the post; now, he is only an ordinary worker of the party,' he added. Manzoor has a militant past. His family, which he took to PoK during his militancy days, still lives there.
