Militant Hideout Smashed

Jammu: Security forces busted a militant hideout at Banihal in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir and recovered some arms and ammunition besides a large quantity of wheat and rice, official sources said here today. Acting on a tip-off, security forces smashed the militant hideout at Akharan, some 11 kms west of Banihal, on Tuesday evening, the sources said. Thirty rounds of AK ammunition and two hand grenades with Pakistani markings were recovered from the hideout apart from 100 kgs of wheat, 150 kgs of rice and 100 litres of kerosene oil.
