Three Pak Ultras Among Four Killed In J&K

Jammu: Three Pakistani ultras of Jaish-e- Mohammad outfit were among four of them killed in a fierce gunbattle between them and the army troops in Rajouri district today, a defence spokesman said. On a tip off, about presence of militants in Moria forest belt in the district, army troops launched a cordon and search operation in the area this afternoon, 16 corps spokesperson col. D. K. Badola said. He said as the operation was in progress, the militants fired on the troops who retaliated resulting in fierce gunbattle in which four top JeM militants were killed. The slain militants were identified as Abu Mehtab, District Commander, Abu Hamza, Area Commander, Abu Omer - from Pakistani and a local militant Aftab. The recoveries from the spot included four AK rifles, eight grenades, 413 rounds, two IEDs, one radio set, two pistols and some explosive material and literature.
