Two Pakistani Militants Shot Dead In Jammu And Kashmir

Jammu: Two Pakistani militants belonging to Harkat-ul-Mujahideen were shot dead in an exchange of fire with Army troops in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said today. The encounter took place last night during a search operation by the Army's special forces in Warwan of Kishtwar tehsil following a tip-off that two Taliban militants were operating in the area, they said. The gunbattle continued for around four hours, the sources said, adding the two were killed in the encounter. The militants were identified as Abu Changazee and Abu Usma of Pakistan bordering Afghanistan. Two AK rifles, 17 magazines, 276 rounds, 19 grenades, wireless set and other explosives were recovered from them, the sources said.
