Annual plan for Kargil finalised

Jammu: The annual plan out-lay of Kargil District for the current financial year would be of the order of Rs. 7785.35 lakhs. Of this Rs. 1985.35 lakhs would be revenue component and Rs. 5800.00 lakhs as capital component. The allocation for the year 2005-06 for Kargil District was to the tune of Rs. 7670.99 lakhs out of which expenditure booked during the year was the order of Rs. 5878.03 lakhs. This was revealed in the general council meeting of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Kargil, held here last evening with Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil Haji Asgar Ali Karbalaei in chair. Haji Kabalaei said that the people of Kargil have tremendous expectation from the Hill Councillor about the speedy development of the district and urged the Councillors to help in taking Kargil towards development in the true spirit. Haji Karbalaei said that an amount of Rs. 2.50 Crore has since been allocated to the Councillors as Constituency Developmental Funds. Besides this Rs. 3.00 Crore has also been proposed to be kept for the Councillors for formulation of new plans under District Plan Fund in their respective constituencies. The Councillors put forth various issues pertaining to the development of their respective constituencies. The Deputy Commissioner-Chief Executive Officer LAHDC, Kargil Kachoo Isfandiyar Khan gave a detailed resume of the activities of developmental works being registered in the district. Besides the Executive Councillors, Member Parliament Thupstan Chhewang. MLA Gh. Raza, MLC, Nasurullah and also all councilors LAHDC, Kargil and District Officers participated.
