Srinagar: Police today intercepted a vital message of a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) commander being conveyed to his colleagues which not only confirmed LeT's hand in yesterday's grenade attack on BJP rally in Doda but also 'some sort of identity' of the militants, who had executed the attack. DIG Udhampur-Doda range Lalat Indu Mohanty confirmed interception of the coded message but declined to give details which, according to him, were crucial for investigations. According to reliable sources, the LeT commander was conveying gratitude to his colleagues for executing the grenade attack. Sources said some clues about identity of the militants, who carried out the attack, have been gathered from the intercept. Efforts were on to get the militants, they added. Meanwhile, a youth, Amit Manhas, who was detained by Doda police yesterday at the behest of Deputy Commissioner, Doda, was released this afternoon as it was established that he was a Shiv Sena activist and had nothing to do with yesterday's incident.
