5 grenades recovered in Doda

Doda: Army and police today recovered five grenades from village Shirot, about eight kms from Doda while militants detonated an IED targetting a BSF patrol at Nar Gali, Mahore. Official sources said a joint team of Army and police raided a hide-out of the militants at Shirot on a specific information and recovered five hand grenades hidden under a boulder. A search operation was carried out in the area but no arrests were made. Militants detonated an IED on Lelna Top-Nar Gali road, about eight kms from Mahore this morning. The BSF team of one Inspector and 20 jawans had a narrow escape in the blast. The BSF have launched a search operation in the area. Police recovered one SLR with two magazines from forest area of Daraj in Kandi area of Rajouri district. Six pistol rounds were recovered from Surankote bus stand.
