Relief to all Doda migrants as per HC order demanded

Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU: A meeting of Zila Doda Migrant Welfare Committee was held under the chairmanship of Dileep Sharma wherein the demand was made for fully implementation of the State High Court verdict in which the Government was directed to treat Doda migrants at par with Kashmiri migrants. Alleging discrimination, the meeting claimed that only a few of the Doda migrant were getting all benefits of relief while other were being provided ration only. The facilities under relief category have been provided to only 132 families, said Dileep Sharma and appealed the Government to come to the rescue of such migrants who have only been provided the ration and no cash assistance. The meet also drew attention of the concerned authorities towards the problem being faced by the Doda migrants in getting their ration card bifurcatecd or a name included in it. Procedure to this effect may please be got easier and simplified, Mr Sharma urged. Besides, the meet also demanded issuance of RBA category certificate and State subject to the Doda migrants on the pattern of Kashmiri and Muslim migrants of the Valley.
