LeT commander arrested in Kashmir

Srinagar: A top commander of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) said to be involved in attacks on a Congress rally and on tourists in Jammu and Kashmir has been arrested, police said here Saturday.Raju alias Mudasir Gujri was arrested by the state police recently, Kashmir police chief Gopal Sharma told reporters, without specifying when he was picked up.'Gujri's real name is Mohammad Rafiq Sheikh and he is a resident of Doda district in Jammu region,' he added.'Gujri was the main kingpin in organising an attack on the Congress rally (in Sheri Kashmir park) May 21,' Sharma claimed.Gujri was 'directly responsible and has taken part in multi-targeted grenade attacks in Srinagar city on April 14 and July 11. He personally distributed the grenades and also took part in the attacks'.'Vital clues have been provided by Gujri and we are hopeful of making more arrests,' the police chief added.
