HUJI ultra killed in Doda

Srinagar: A militant of Harkat-ul-Jehad Islami (HUJI) was gunned down by Army and police in an encounter at village Ballana in Keshwan area of Kishtwar tehsil in Doda district this morning. He has been identified as Mohd Amin Rather alias Sameer Movia son of Habibullah Rather, a resident of Kohat, Chatroo. The militant was killed in two hour long gun-battle with Army and police. Recoveries made from his possession include one AK-47 rifle, one magazine, and five rounds. Security forces recovered 76 AK rounds, five Pika rounds, four pistol rounds, one Pika belt, one Chinese hand grenade and one detonator from Kadar Galu in Gund area of Gool. Meanwhile, a Bangladeshi national who was allegedly trying to exfiltrate to Pakistan was arrested early today near the International Border in Badyal Brahmana area of RS Pura sector. Nasir-ud-Din, a resident of Dhaka, was trying to cross the International Border when he was arrested by security forces at the forward post in Badyal-Brahmana. He was later handed over to the police for further action.
