Three terrorists, three security personnel killed in Kashmir

Jammu: Three terrorists and three security personnel were killed in separate incidents across Jammu and Kashmir Thursday.In summer capital Srinagar, terrorists struck at four places killing or wounding security personnel.The militants started shooting at Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel in the city around Thursday noon. They struck at Kokker Bazar shooting at two CRPF personnel, one of whom later succumbed to his injuries.One police official was killed and another was wounded grievously when militants attacked them at Kani Kadal and Hazrabtal.Terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad claimed responsibility for the attacks. A spokesman of the group told Current News Service, a Srinagar-based news agency, that its cadres had carried out this action.In another incident, a special police officer (SPO) was killed by militants of Al-Moonsorian in Doda district.Meanwhile, three terrorists, including two identified as Pakistanis, were killed in a shootout with security forces in the dense forests of Gool in Jammu region Thursday afternoon.The gun battle lasted for more than five hours. However, there was no report of any casualty. Security forces have recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition from the site. Searches were on to find out whether there were more terrorists hiding in the area.
