Sardar Attique invites overseas Kashmiris to invest in AJK

Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan has invited overseas Kashmiris and Pakistan to make agro industrial investments of any dimensions in AJK for which his government has cut short lengthy procedures to expedite industrialization. Addressing a chain of receptions and working dinners in his honour by the Saudi Arabia based Kashmiri and Pakistani community other day, he assured full protection to their investment capital. 'You can make investment of any size and you don't have to fear about your capital', the AJK Prime Minister added. About investment climate in AJK, he said that his government removed all impediments in the way of investment from red-tape delays to cutting short the case maturing period. All cumbersome procedures have been shorted to setup necessary machinery for new industries within days, he said. Addressing a Jeddah reception presided over by an AJK entrepreneur ex-Minister Sardar Ghulam Mustafa, the Prime Minister said that there was immense potential in the tourism and Hydel power generation. Azad Kashmir is richest in water resources, which need industrial harnessing and electricity production by thousand megawatts. He lauded the dedicated spirit of the overseas Kashmiris and Pakistanis and praised their relief role in the Oct 2005 earthquake in AJK and in NWFP. He highly praised the world Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) including those from the Muslim countries and said that their role can be equally beneficial in the massive task of reconstruction and rehabilitation in the quake hit areas. To remember their earthquake relief role a suitable memorial and a sprawling park are being built at Muzaffarabad, he noted. Flags of donor nations and NGOs will fly atop memorial and it will be recognition of their relief role, he observed. In another community reception, the Prime Minister of AJK presented AJK government's insignia to the renowned Saudi Philanthropist Dr. Abdullah recalling his great services in projecting the cause of Kashmir and also for providing urgent relief material during earthquake days in AJK and NWFP. Reciprocating Dr. Abdullah, an influential Saudi intellectual lauded the services of former Prime Minister-President of AJK Sardar Abdul Qayum Khan and expected that his son Sardar Attique Ahmad during his premiership would come upto the enlarged expectations of the Kashmiri people. He also assured to the AJK Prime Minister his continued relief role to help the quake affected in AJK-NWFP. Prime Minister AJK Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan also visited the Jeddah headquarters of World Assembly of Muslim Youth. Dr. Abdul Wahab Noor wali, Secretary General of the Assembly briefed the AJK Prime Minister on his organization's relief activities all over the world particularly in AJK and Pakistan. AJK Islamic Council's Secretary Syed Nazir-ul-Hassan Gillani accompanied the premier in this visit. Secretary General World Assembly of Muslim Youth Dr. Saleh assured his organization's resources assistance in the educational , health and in rehabilitation of disabled persons project in AJK. The world Assembly of Muslim Youth will remain active during the entire process of rehabilitation of the quake affectees. He also extended political, moral and diplomatic support to the cause of Kashmir.
