Srinagar: A Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant today surrendered before security forces, a day after his infiltration from Mendhar sector. He has been identified as Muzamal son of Anayatullah, a resident of Bafliaz, Surankote. He laid down one AK rifle and one wireless set before Town Commander of the Army at Achaad, Surankote, official sources said. Muzamal had crossed over to Pakistan for training in 1998 but didn't return. His mother went to Pakistan via Wagah border in Amritsar district early this year and reportedly established a contact with her son. She persuaded him to return and surrender to live a peaceful life. Sources said Muzamal infiltrated from Sona Gali in Mankote area of Mendhar tehsil yesterday and surrendered before the troops today. He has been sent for questioning.
